International
Gandhian Initiative for Nonviolence and Peace (IGINP), is offering a One Year
Diploma Course in Nonviolence and Peace in English and Tamil languages. We
encourage you to join this course in-order to deepen your understanding on
peace and nonviolence. This is a great opportunity for young people to get
introduced to the idea of peace and nonviolence. This is a correspondence
course and students will have to participate online sessions organized by the
IGINP. This course is open for all the age group. This one-year course FEE is Rs.1,000/- (one
thousand only).
Objective of the Course:
1.
To take the theory and
practice of dynamic and holistic nonviolence and peace to more people.
2.
To effect a shift in
individuals, families, communities and societies from violence to nonviolence.
3.
To create a trained cadre of
visionaries, promoters, activists, educationists, trainers, researchers,
keepers, builders and makers of nonviolence and at least to train ten persons
in each one of the micro regions of India, South Asia and the world.
4.
To promote social and rural
upliftment with Gandhian tools such as constructive work, Gandhian life style,
NaiTalim, Peaceful resolution of conflicts, satyagraha, love, nonkilling,
ethical values & Truth.
Duration
of the Course: One full year (twelve
months)

is open throughout the year.

course will last up to one full year from the date of joining.

Course Fee: The
course fee will be Rs.1000/- This includes the registration fee of Rs. 100/-,
material cost of Rs.800/- (eight printed books), postal and special fee of Rs.

a Culture of Nonviolence and Peace: Transformative Practices.
Paper VIII Towards
a Culture of Nonviolence and Peace Research and Action.
Online webinar will be conducted to
support the course participants in order to interact with the participants by the
eminent scholars from the field of Gandhian studies and nonviolent action.
Theory, application and practice will be an integral part
of this course. Printed lessons will be
provided. The course material is
designed as self-learning material.
There will be a number of self-exercises in the printed material. For Paper I to VI, has to send answers for 15
questions per paper. For paper VII, 200 hours of practice should be recorded
and for Paper VII a research paper for 50 pages should be submitted. There will
be a two-day compulsory residential workshop before the end of this
course. Only those Who have submitted
all the answer sheets will be invited for the workshop. Three chances will be Given to attend the
workshop. Failure to utilize any one of
these chances will lead to the termination of the course and then one has to
seek fresh admission to this course. The compulsory residential workshop will
be held in our headquarters situated near Madurai. It may also be held in other places as well.
Examination & Results: There will be no final written
examination. The evaluation will be done on the basis of following.
1) Paper
I-VI: 15 questions should be answered for each one of the papers.
2) One
journal for recording practical/field activities for paper VII (200 hours)
3) A
fifty-page Research Paper for Paper VIII
4) Performance
in the two days Residential Workshop
5) A
Viva Voce
