Editorial for News letter issue no:1

Dear Friends

Biju our sub editor of CESCI India News Letter has just returned to India after a long trip in Europe. He has returned with a lot of new ideas and new contacts. At the first meeting after his arrival, we have taken some major decisions:

1.      Our work in south India needs to expand beyond Tamilnadu and Kerala and should include Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Pondychery.

2.      There should be a large participation from south India in Jansatyagraha 2012.

3.      Biju will be appointed as our South India Coordinator to shape the climate for 2012 action. He will network with various dalit, women, adivasi, and youth organizations in south India.

As a result, the newsletter from now on will be called Ekta Parisahd South India News and I am sure you will enjoy reading more about all of south India and also being informed about our activities in this part of the world.

Geographical expansion demands more resources for training young people, more resources for supporting activist and more resources for travel. Your support is always welcome. Please contact us for information and we will get back to you with details.
